Terms of Service

The agreement between you and JobInflux. It applies whether you are looking for work or hiring, and it covers how listings, subscriptions and payments work.

Last updated: September 25, 2026

The short version

  • Job seekers never pay to use JobInflux.
  • Employers must be verified before they can post.
  • Listings must be real, lawful and non-discriminatory.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of what you post or apply with.
  • We can remove content or close accounts that break these terms.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, posting a job or otherwise using JobInflux, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the platform.

If you are using JobInflux on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that company.

Who can use JobInflux

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should only use JobInflux with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

You must provide accurate, current information when you register, and keep it up to date. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

We may ask you to verify your email address or other details before certain features become available.

Job seekers

Creating a job seeker account, browsing jobs, saving roles, setting up job alerts and applying for jobs are all free. We do not charge candidates to apply, to be shortlisted, or to be introduced to an employer, and you should treat any request for such a payment as fraudulent and report it to us.

You are responsible for the accuracy and honesty of your profile, CV and applications. Applications must be made in good faith for roles you genuinely intend to pursue.

We are not the employer

JobInflux is a job board. We are not the employer and we are not a party to any agreement you reach with an employer. Employment terms, screening, hiring decisions and any contract of employment are between you and the employer.

Employers and job postings

Before you can publish listings, your company must complete our verification process. We may request documents that confirm your company exists and that you are authorised to recruit on its behalf, and we may decline or revoke verification at our discretion.

Your subscription plan determines how many active listings you may have at once. We may set fair-use limits on automated access, bulk actions and messaging to keep the platform stable for everyone.

Every listing you publish must:

  • describe a genuine, currently available role;
  • state the employer, location and how to apply honestly;
  • comply with applicable employment, recruitment and anti-discrimination law;
  • avoid charging candidates any fee, deposit, "training" or "equipment" cost; and
  • avoid misleading, duplicated or keyword-stuffed content.

You are responsible for the roles you advertise, for the applications you receive, and for how you handle candidate data you obtain through the platform.

Jobs sourced from other websites

Some listings are compiled or curated by JobInflux from publicly available sources, such as a company's own careers page or a public job advert, rather than being posted directly by the employer.

Those listings are marked as coming from an external employer. Depending on the listing, applications may be handled in one of two ways: submitted through JobInflux, or sent to a contact address or website published by the employer. Where an application leaves JobInflux, the employer's own terms and privacy practices apply, and we cannot confirm receipt or influence the outcome.

Check before you rely on a listing

We take care when compiling listings, but details originally published elsewhere can become out of date. Always confirm the role, the employer and the application route before sharing personal information or paying anything. Never send money to secure a job. Report anything that looks wrong.

Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • post fraudulent, misleading or "ghost" jobs, or advertise roles that do not exist;
  • request payment, bank details or identity documents from candidates as a condition of applying;
  • scrape, crawl or bulk-copy the platform without our written permission;
  • harass, threaten or discriminate against other users;
  • upload malware, or attempt to probe, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the platform;
  • impersonate another person, company or JobInflux staff member;
  • use the platform for money laundering, fraud or any other unlawful purpose; or
  • resell or sublicense access to the platform without our consent.

Content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as your company profile, job listings, CV and messages. By submitting it, you grant JobInflux a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, format and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.

You confirm that you hold the rights needed to submit that content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

The JobInflux name, logo, design, software and compiled data are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. We may edit, reformat or remove content that breaches these terms or applicable law.

Plans, payments, VAT and refunds

Employer plans are sold as described on our pricing and checkout pages, including the number of listings and the period each plan covers. Add-ons such as job boosts and advertisement placements are bought separately and apply only for the period stated at purchase.

Where card payment is available, your payment is handled by our third-party payment provider. Where bank transfer is offered, your plan is activated once we confirm the payment has been received, which may not be immediate.

VAT. Prices for paid plans, boosts and advertisements are subject to Value Added Tax at the prevailing rate (currently 7.5% in Nigeria), where applicable. The tax and the total payable are shown as separate lines in the payment breakdown before you confirm payment.

Subscriptions run for the period shown at purchase and end automatically unless renewed. We will not renew a subscription by taking payment without your instruction.

If a listing or plan limit changes, or we discontinue a feature you have paid for, we will either provide an equivalent replacement or a proportionate credit.

Refunds

Plan fees, boosts and advertisement bookings are generally non-refundable once the service has been made available or the booking period has begun, because the benefit is delivered immediately.

We will refund you where we are legally required to, where we cancel a paid service and cannot provide it, or where you were charged in error or twice. If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, contact us at [email protected] and we will review it.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account, remove content, or decline to publish a listing where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, where content is unlawful or misleading, where verification cannot be confirmed, or where continued access creates a risk to other users or to the platform.

Where practical, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond. Serious cases, such as fraud or a security threat, may be handled immediately.

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Some records may be retained after closure where we have a legal, accounting or fraud-prevention reason to keep them, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers and liability

JobInflux is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep the platform accurate, secure and available, but we do not warrant that listings are complete, current or accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that using the platform will result in an interview, an offer or a hire.

We are not responsible for the conduct of employers, recruiters or candidates, or for the content of third-party websites we link to.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or the minimum amount required by applicable law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost opportunity or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform develops or the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do.

Where a change is significant, we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or a notice on the platform. Continuing to use JobInflux after the updated terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not agree, you may stop using the platform and close your account.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Before starting formal proceedings, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
